The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the US decision to place “Ansarullah” on the so-called list of terrorist organizations.

In a statement issued today, the Ministry affirmed that this designation targets the entire Yemeni people and their honorable position in supporting the Palestinian people’s cause. It also reflects the extent of the current US administration’s bias towards the usurping Zionist entity.

The Ministry pointed out that the US has consistently labeled anyone who opposes its policies or rejects its arrogance as a “terrorist” and imposed sanctions on them.

The statement added, “Those who truly belong on international terrorism lists are those whose hands are stained with the blood of civilians in Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, and other countries.”

It further emphasized that the aggression and siege imposed on Yemen since March 26, 2015, were initiated by Washington and carried out in full partnership with it. Since Sana’a declared its humanitarian, religious, and national support for Gaza, the US has adopted a policy of pressure to dissuade Yemen from this stance.

“This has included obstructing the signing of the roadmap and blocking progress in Yemen’s peace process, forming the so-called “Guardian of Prosperity Alliance” to protect international shipping in the Red Sea, and participating in aggression against Yemen in partnership with Britain and other countries aligned with it. The US has also pressured organizations to halt their humanitarian aid to the Yemeni people.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community and human rights and humanitarian organizations to condemn this classification, warning that it will have negative repercussions on Yemen’s humanitarian situation.

It emphasized that this classification will only strengthen Sana’a’s commitment to its principled stance in supporting the Palestinian people and their just cause, and defending Yemen’s sovereignty, security, and stability against any interference.
