The Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), Tom Fletcher, said, “The Zionist aggression on Gaza has led to the killing, starvation, freezing to death, orphaning and separation of children from their families.”
He added, in a statement on Friday, that an entire generation in Gaza has been terrified by the war, and that estimates indicate that more than 17,000 children are separated from their families in the Strip, and many children lost their lives before they could breathe for the first time with their mothers during childbirth.
Fletcher warned that about 150,000 pregnant women and mothers are in dire need of urgent health services in the Gaza Strip.
