Press Conference Reviews 3,570 Days Of Aggression Crimes In Hodeidah

Tihama Organization for Rights, Development, and Human Heritage held a press conference today, revealing statistics on the crimes committed during the 3,570 days of US-Saudi-Emirati aggression in Hodeidah Governorate.

During the press conference, Deputy Governor for Services Affairs, Muhammad Halisi, confirmed that Yemen has long faced a series of conspiracies at both the international and regional levels, due to its strategic location controlling the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

He pointed out that “Ten years of aggression, siege, and illegal human rights violations have passed, affecting Yemen as a whole and Hodeidah Governorate in particular.”

He emphasized that these crimes will not be forgotten and will not fade with time.

He also reiterated the unconditional mandate given by the people of Hodeidah to the leader of the revolution to make any necessary decisions to defend the nation and its sovereignty, while reaffirming support for the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.”

For his part, Amjad Al-Omaisi, head of the Tihama Organization for Rights and Human Heritage, presented a detailed report on the crimes and violations committed by the aggression against civilians in Hodeidah Governorate. This included the targeting of residential neighborhoods, service facilities, and economic infrastructure.

He reported that over the 3,570 days of aggression on Hodeidah, the total number of victims reached 6,023, including both martyrs and the wounded. This figure includes 2,417 martyrs (487 children, 232 women, and 1,698 men) and 3,606 wounded (783 children, 394 women, and 2,429 men).

Al-Omaisi also highlighted the extensive destruction across various sectors. The aggression resulted in the damage or destruction of 76,186 homes, 12 universities, 416 mosques, 118 tourist facilities, 46 hospitals, 233 schools, 20 sports facilities, and 26 archaeological sites. Additionally, 11 media outlets, 3,724 agricultural fields, two airports, 10 ports, 125 power stations and generators, 1,998 roads and bridges, 52 communication networks, 992 water tanks, and 265 government buildings were also affected.

In terms of economic losses, the aggression destroyed or damaged 100 factories, 87 fuel tankers, 3,916 commercial establishments, 94 poultry and livestock farms, 1,973 vehicles, 319 food trucks, 52 markets, 231 food storage facilities, 116 fuel stations, and 435 fishing boats. The number of displaced persons due to the aggression reached 804,461, living in dire humanitarian conditions.

Al-Omaisi stressed that the ongoing crimes and violations by the American-Saudi-Emirati aggression, amidst the lack of commitment to the Stockholm Agreement, will not be forgotten.

He emphasized the importance of documenting and exposing these crimes to the world in order to achieve justice.
