Russian Defense Ministry announced on Saturday that air defenses intercepted and destroyed 85 Ukrainian drones over the territory of several Russian provinces, Crimea, and the Azov and Black Seas last night.

Sputnik quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: “Over the past night, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 85 Ukrainian drones.”

The statement added: “31 drones were destroyed over the Black Sea, 16 over the territory of the Voronezh region, 16 over the territory of the Krasnodar Territory, 14 over the Sea of Azov, four over the territory of the Belgorod region, two over the territory of the Tambov region, one over the territory of the Republic of Crimea, and one over the territory of the Kursk region.”

The Ukrainian Armed Forces target, on an almost daily basis, the Russian border areas in Crimea and the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, and Voronezh regions with drones and missiles.

In turn, Russian forces continue to carry out their special military operation, with the aim of disarming Ukraine, eliminating threats to Russia’s security through it, and protecting civilians in the Donbas region.
