Today, the Social Welfare Department in Sana’a organized a cultural event to commemorate the annual anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayyed Hussein al-Houth, as well as to mark the conclusion of a professional and social preparation course for wounded and disabled veterans as part of the Economic Empowerment Project.

The event was attended by several military commanders, including Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Khiwani, Director of the Military Survey Department

In his speech, Colonel Raidan Al-Da’ani, Head of the Disabled Division at the Social Welfare Department, highlighted the significance of honoring the anniversary of the martyr Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi.

He urged the audience to draw inspiration from his unwavering commitment, sacrifice, and dedication, while emphasizing the need to uphold the nation’s faith-based identity and persist in resisting the enemies’ efforts to undermine it.

Al-Da’ani explained that the martyr leader’s awareness-raising vision, embodied in his Quranic project, represented the finest examples of jihad to restore the nation’s rightful place among the peoples of the world.

He stated, “As we commemorate the anniversary of the martyr leader today, many facts and events he warned about early on are becoming evident, most notably the danger of the American-Zionist project targeting the nation.”

Al-Da’ani also highlighted the lessons and lectures received by participants in the professional and social preparation course for wounded, disabled, and psychologically impacted individuals, delivered by a group of academics, to equip them with the skills needed for professional work as part of the Economic Empowerment Project.

In a speech delivered on behalf of the participants, wounded veteran Bilal Al-Safa confirmed that the course provided them with theoretical and practical knowledge, preparing them to engage in professional work and economic empowerment.

The event included a poem by the poet Al-Hamzah Al-Maghribi, highlighting the martyr leader’s role in spreading Quranic awareness.
