An Israeli intelligence source admitted that Yemen has taken the Israeli occupation by surprise, according to the British newspaper The Telegraph.

The unnamed source acknowledged that the “Houthis” surprised “Israel” with their military capabilities, stating that they have their own military production, which is difficult to locate or counter as it is dispersed across Yemen.

The source added that Israel’s human intelligence options for gathering information on the “Houthis” are limited due to Yemen’s distance. However, they rely on the Saudi-backed “Yemeni government” in Aden for cooperation.

According to the source, the UAE- and Saudi-backed Yemeni government based in Aden and Marib can provide valuable intelligence on the “Houthis,” as it shares many interests with “Israel.”

The source reportedly said, “We always thought the Houthis were not an Israeli problem but rather an issue for the US, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Now, intelligence gathering starts from scratch.”

For over a year, the Yemeni Armed Forces have been engaged in the Battle of the Promised Conquest and the Holy Jihad in support of the Palestinian people facing genocidal aggression in Gaza.

The Yemeni forces have conducted regular missile and drone strikes against the Israeli entity while enforcing a maritime blockade to prevent ships from reaching Israeli ports.
