Minister of Culture and Tourism Dr. Ali al-Yafei met on Monday separately with tourism sector officials in the capital Sana’a Yahya al-Sharif and in Jawf province Ali Kazman.
The two meetings were devoted to discussing aspects related to tourism work in the two provinces and the difficulties it faces, as well as what is related to developing revenues, implementing the quality system in tourism services and listing tourism facilities.
Minister al-Yafei stressed the ministry’s interest in tourism and its development in all governorates, pointing to what tourism can provide in terms of income and job opportunities in various tourism fields, as well as what the governorates, especially Sana’a and Jawf, possess in terms of diverse tourism components and patterns.
He urged concerted efforts between all concerned parties to advance the tourism sector.
The Minister of Culture and Tourism pointed out the extent of the losses incurred by the tourism sector as a result of the ongoing siege and aggression, and the importance of working to overcome the effects left by the aggression on the sector due to its hoped-for role in contributing to achieving economic development.
