The Tihama Coast Cooperative Fisheries Association in Hodeidah organized a training workshop on implementing the white loans project to support small fishermen in the Red Sea coastal areas.
Training 10 loan officers in the association and its branches on the skills and mechanisms for implementing the project.
Implementing the project with the support of the Small and Micro Enterprise Development Authority and with funding from the Zakat Authority.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Kabsi, Chairman of the Small Enterprise Development Authority, reviewed the project’s implementation criteria and its objectives in empowering fishermen and improving their income.
Muhammad Hazza, Director of the Zakat Authority Office in the Governorate, stressed the importance of the project in achieving the aspirations of fishermen and supporting them.
Muhammad Najib, Chairman of the Association, stressed the strategic importance of the project and the role of the supporting bodies in its success.
After the conclusion of the workshop, and in the presence of the association’s leaders, the project implementation agreement was signed between the Project Development and Zakat Authority and the association, specifying the timetable for the first phase and completing the executive procedures.
