Yemen TV channel from Yemen condemned the decision of X company to suspend the channel’s media accounts on the social networking site “X”.
The channel confirmed in a statement that this measure is a clear violation of the principle of freedom of opinion and expression in general and a clear targeting of free media in particular.
The statement indicated that closing the channel’s account on the “X” platform is evidence of the company’s management’s collusion with the Israeli enemy and all the forces of evil, explaining that this unprofessional measure confirms to everyone that it is a partner in the crimes and violations committed in Palestine and the region.
He pointed out that concealing the truth and silencing media institutions is a crime and that Yemen TV has the right to sue “X” company (formerly Twitter) through international courts in accordance with international laws that guarantee everyone freedom of opinion and expression and the right to access and obtain information from various media sources and also criminalize targeting media institutions.
The statement called on international organizations, bodies and associations concerned with protecting media professionals and media institutions and concerned with freedom of opinion and expression and human rights and all free media professionals and journalists in various countries of the world to declare their condemnation of what X company is doing
