One Zionist officer was killed, and three others were wounded, after Palestinian resistance fighters detonated an explosive device in an Israeli patrol, which stormed the town of Tamoun, south of Tubas in the West Bank, after midnight Sunday.

Hebrew media reported the killing of a battalion commander in the Israeli occupation army, adding that three other soldiers were seriously injured as a result of detonating a device in a military force stationed in Tamoun, south of Tubas.

Local sources reported that the explosive device targeted a military jeep loaded with soldiers, a number of them were seriously wounded, and they were evacuated by Israeli helicopters.

Settlers’ platforms have published information about the arrival of helicopters in hospitals carrying the injured soldiers.

This coincided with an intense flight of Israeli reconnaissance drones over the airspace of the governorates of Tubas, Qalqilya, Tulkarem, and Nablus.

Tamoun is usually subjected to repetitive Israeli incursions, amid confrontations with the citizens and resistance fighters.

On January 8, the Israeli occupation forces bombed a gathering of citizens in Tamoun, which resulted in the martyrdom of two children and a young man.
