According to the ministry’s estimates, the number of completely destroyed or partially damaged housing units is 280,000, noting that the number of cases that have been field-inspected so far has reached nearly 250,000 housing units (170,000 completely destroyed housing units, 80,000 uninhabitable housing units).

The ministry confirmed in its statement that its crews are still in the field completing the initial inventory of damages in the housing sector, adding that according to the work plan, the initial inventory will be completed within two weeks from this date.

It pointed out that after that, preparations will be made to begin the detailed inventory in coordination with international bodies and institutions working in the field of reconstruction, as the detailed inventory includes all demolished and damaged residential units, including those partially suitable for housing.

It added that in the coming days and before the end of the initial inventory, It will create an inquiry link for the completely or partially demolished units that are not suitable for housing.
