The stations of the Yemeni Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring and Study Center recorded a strong tremor today, Tuesday, at the southern entrance to the Red Sea.
The seismic bulletin issued by the monitoring center in Dhamar Governorate confirmed that the monitoring stations recorded an earthquake measuring 3.7 degrees at 3:37 pm in the Gulf of Tajoura, south of the Red Sea.
It indicated that the tremor came after a similar earthquake measuring 4.1 degrees was recorded in Ethiopia at 6:07 am yesterday.
This comes after Ethiopia witnessed tremors and earthquakes of varying degrees (5.1, 5.2, 4.7, 4.5, 3.0 Richter) north of Awash Afar, which were felt in several cities, including the capital, Addis Ababa.
