The arrival of Palestinian prisoners released from the prisons of the Zionist enemy as part of the sixth batch of the exchange deal to the city of Ramallah in the northern occupied West Bank began this afternoon.
Media sources said: “The buses carrying the released Palestinian prisoners are arriving in Ramallah.”
Media sources added: “The arrival of 9 released prisoners with life sentences to Ramallah, indicating that “3 released prisoners with life sentences were transferred to Jerusalem.”
The sixth batch, according to the Prisoners’ Affairs Authority and the Prisoners’ Club, includes 36 detainees sentenced to life, and 333 detainees from the Gaza Strip, who were arrested by the Israeli occupation forces during their aggression on the Strip after October 7, 2023.
According to the list of names, 29 of the released prisoners are from the West Bank, 7 from the occupied city of Jerusalem and its suburbs, while 24 prisoners were deported outside the country.
The enemy forces turned the area near Ofer prison into a closed military zone and prevented the gathering of the detainees’ families and fired live ammunition and tear gas at them.
Hundreds of citizens and detainees’ families gathered since the early morning hours in front of the Ramallah Cultural Palace and the Mahmoud Darwish Museum Square in Ramallah to receive the prisoners who were released from Ofer prison, raising the Palestinian flag.
Today, on the 28th day of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, the resistance handed over 3 Zionist prisoners, as part of the sixth exchange operation of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
