Hundreds of Citizens in Taiz organized a popular demonstration yesterday to denounce the security chaos in the areas under the control of the occupation in the center of the city.

The protesters, who toured the main streets, demanded that the occupation authorities arrest those accused of killing the citizen Abdul Hakim Al-Sulait, inside a cafeteria where he works in Al-Nusairiyah neighborhood.

The participants described the occupation authorities in their chants as a gang that controls Taiz, stressing the need to arrest the perpetrators and put an end to the security chaos that terrifies citizens and threatens their lives.

In addition, informed sources reported that Saudi Arabia is moving to deploy the “Homeland Shield” militias in the oil-rich Shabwa governorate, which is currently under the control of the UAE-backed militias.

They confirmed that Saudi Arabia seeks to re-strengthen its military presence in Shabwa by deploying these militias under the leadership of a local military figure from the governorate, with the possibility of choosing the mercenary “Jahdal Hanash” to lead the militias.

The sources explained that Saudi Arabia recently trained hundreds of elements from the “Homeland Shield” in camps near the Yemeni border..

In the Sharurah area, and the areas adjacent to the Al-Wadiah border crossing.

The Saudi move came as part of a strategy to expand its occupation influence in areas rich in natural resources in Yemen, and to reduce the presence of the Transitional Militias affiliated with the Emirates.

In the same context, the killing of poet Rashid al-Hatam under torture in one of the prisons of the Islah militia authorities affiliated with the occupation in the city of Marib, sparked a wave of anger among the Yemeni people.

Human rights sources reported that poet al-Hatam, a member of the Qifa tribe in Al Bayda governorate, was subjected to severe torture in prison until he died 20 days after his kidnapping because he posted a video on Facebook in which he chanted “Death to America and Israel” in celebration of the announcement of the cessation of the war on Gaza.

Activists on social media described the killing of al-Hatam in prison as a “horrific crime”, stressing that the incident revealed the criminal face of the kidnapped and forcibly disappeared in the Islah prisons in Marib.

They stressed that the incident sheds light on the gross violations suffered by detainees and forcibly disappeared in the secret prisons and detention centers affiliated with the occupation.

Local human rights activists demanded an urgent investigation into the murder of the poet Al-Hatam and other torture crimes committed by the factions affiliated with the occupation against the kidnapped and forcibly disappeared, and to reveal the fate of the rest of the other kidnapped persons inside the prisons and secret detention centers in Marib, Aden and other areas under the control of the occupation.

In a related context, a prisoner released from the prisons of the factions loyal to the Saudi-Emirati occupation revealed the extent of what he described as torture he experienced inside these prisons.

The released prisoner Ahmed Al-Hussam said in a speech: “For 7 years, I and my colleagues were subjected to many types of torture in the coalition prisons in Marib,” stressing that he was tortured in various ways and methods, including crucifixion with cranes and torture in solitary confinement among harmful insects.

He pointed out that the occupation forces in Marib prisons used stone-cutting machines and electric shocks to torture prisoners.
