Activists Target BBC Headquarters In London

British activists for Palestine targeted the BBC headquarters in Portland Place, London, early Monday morning, covering the ground floor with red paint and smashing some windows.

The Palestine Action organization posted a statement on its social media pages claiming responsibility for the attack due to the BBC’s stance and coverage of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

The group accused the BBC of downplaying Israeli war crimes and failing to provide a platform for Palestinian voices, making it complicit in the genocide unfolding in Gaza.

This is the second time the group has targeted the building. The group’s statement today said: “The BBC headquarters was targeted with blood red paint to symbolise the corporation’s responsibility for the bloodshed in Gaza and the BBC’s role in whitewashing Israeli atrocities through its partial and biased coverage. “

For years, the BBC has consistently downplayed Israel’s violence against Palestinians while amplifying the narratives of the oppressors, perpetuating a deadly cycle of misinformation and false equivalence.”

A spokesperson for Palestine Action said: “The BBC’s biased reporting is not just a case of poor journalism, it is a matter of life and death. By downplaying Israeli war crimes, the BBC is complicit in the genocide unfolding in Gaza.”

He added: “This is not just about news, it is about the media’s role in shaping global complicity. The BBC has blood on its hands, and today’s action is part of a wider campaign to hold it to account. We will not stand idly by while the BBC whitewashes genocide.”
