Member of Hamas’s political bureau Ezzat al-Risheeq,has condemned US president Donald Trump’s renewed remarks about “buying and owning Gaza,” calling them “frivolous.”
In a statement on Monday, Al-Risheq said that such remarks about Gaza reflect “deep ignorance of Palestine and the region.”
“Gaza is not real estate that can be bought or sold. It is an integral part of our occupied Palestinian land,” Al-Rishq underscored.
“Dealing with the Palestinian cause with the mentality of a real estate businessman is a recipe for failure,” Al-Risheq said.
“Gaza belongs to its people, and they will not leave it except when they return to their cities and villages that came under occupation in 1948,” the Hamas official added.
