Enemy Media: Hamas To Exchange Bodies Of Four Hostages For Palestinian Prisoners

The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth revealed on Wednesday that details have emerged about the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli occupation prisons in exchange for the bodies of detained Israelis.

Officials have informed the families of the deceased prisoners that an agreement has been reached with mediators for the return of four prisoners in the first phase, expected within the next 24 hours.

According to Israeli media, Hamas will hand over the bodies of the four prisoners to Egypt within the next 24 hours, without ceremonies. Egypt will then transfer the bodies to the Red Cross, which will subsequently deliver them to Israel. Meanwhile, Israel will release Palestinian prisoners whose release had been delayed since Saturday.

Last week, Israel reneged on its commitment to release the prisoners, causing a crisis in the negotiations. However, further talks resumed to continue the process.

According to the Hebrew channel Kan, Israel confirmed Hamas’s announcement about the understandings reached during Cairo talks, under which Palestinian prisoners will be released, and the bodies of the four Israeli prisoners will be transferred under Egyptian supervision.
