EU Employees Protest Against Its Biased Policies Towards Israel

About 100 European Union employees in the Belgian capital Brussels organized a protest on Thursday against the biased policies of the EU institutions towards “Israel”.

The protest, which was organized in front of the European Union Commission building, came ahead of the EU-Israel Association Council meeting scheduled for next Monday.

The protesters carried banners reading “EU employees with peace and justice”, “Commit to the ceasefire”, “Respect the rights of the Palestinian people” and “End the Israeli occupation”.

In an interview with Anadolu Agency, EU employee John Doyle said that they gathered (Thursday) in solidarity with the people of Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon against “Israel”.

Doyle added that the founding agreement of the European-Israeli Association Council meeting must be cancelled in light of the genocide and massacres committed by “Israel”.

He explained that Article Two of the founding agreement stipulates the condition of respecting human rights and international law, and that “Israel” violated the conditions by committing massacres and genocide in Gaza.

With American support, between October 7, 2023 and January 19, 2025, Israel committed genocide in Gaza, leaving more than 160,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.
