An international scientific journal awarded the certificate of the best scientific research to a Yemeni research team from the faculty members of the Faculty of Pharmacy – Sana’a University for the year 2025 AD, through which the team was able to complete “Rivaroxaban-Excipients Compatibility Studies for the Development of Advanced Drug Delivery Systems”.
The journal “Pharmaceutical and Medical Research” chose the research submitted by a research team from the faculty members of the Faculty of Pharmacy headed by Professor Mahmoud Al-Buraihi, Professor of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy at the Faculty, Dr. Muhammad Hamid Al-Din, Dr. Majid Alwan, Dr. Abdul-Wali Saif, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Ubaidi, and Dr. Mukhtar Al-Gharafi, as the best scientific research for the year 2025 AD amidst global research competition.
The head of the research team, Professor Mahmoud Al-Buraihi, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (SABA) that the scientific research was chosen as the best research compared to competing scientific research submitted from various countries of the world, and the research was published in the journal “EJPMR”.
He stressed that the research “Rivaroxaban compatibility studies: is a treatment used as an anticoagulant and one of the most important stages of drug development and pharmaceutical manufacturing, based on which drugs are manufactured, ensuring the quality, safety and effectiveness of the drug, the stability and consistency of the drug, and achieving therapeutic response and pharmaceutical care for society.
Professor Al-Buraihi congratulated Sana’a University and its leadership on the scientific achievement that is added to its notable achievements that were accomplished with the scientific competencies and expertise of scientists from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Sana’a University.. stressing that Yemen possesses academic expertise and competencies, natural wealth, medicinal plants and marine herbs, and natural sources used in the manufacture of medicines according to the latest scientific methods.
It is noteworthy that last year 2024 AD, the European Journal of International Medical Sciences chose the research of Professor Mahmoud Al-Buraihi and Professor Amina Al-Shaibani, Professor of Medical Drugs at Sana’a University, as the best scientific research for the year 2024 AD for their role in discovering a cure for cancer extracted from natural sources, herbs and marine algae through their ability to prepare and develop capsules to treat cancer, and they have multiple achievements in the field of developing drugs to treat cancer Liver, diabetes, kidney stones and other incurable diseases
