FM :Establishing An Operations Room To Receive Expatriates’ Complaints

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Jamal Amer met with the leadership of the Expatriates Sector and the directors of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates offices in the governorates.

In the meeting, Minister Amer listened to the overall difficulties raised by the directors of the Foreign Affairs and Expatriates offices in the governorates as a result of the lack of interest in light of the various circumstances, including the aggression that affected Yemen, including the expatriates offices.

He stressed the keenness to pay attention to the issues of Yemeni expatriates and continue communicating with them and working to resolve their issues, which is one of the most important directives of the leader of the revolution, Mr. Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and was reflected in the program of the Government of Change and Construction.

He explained that the ministry is about to complete the establishment of an operations and complaints room for expatriates after it was provided with all the capabilities to receive expatriates’ complaints and refer them to the relevant authorities and follow up on dealing with them with the relevant authorities, including with the local authorities in the governorates, as one of the forms of urgent services for expatriates and considering it a communication channel around the clock.

Amer called on the officials of the expatriates sector and the directors of the ministry’s offices in the governorates to do their utmost to continue to connect the expatriate with the motherland through all available means.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the need for expatriates to be informed of the investment law, which is a qualitative development in facilitating investors, especially expatriates, stressing the importance of building trust with expatriates and that the role of the expatriates sector should not be limited to solving their problems at home only, but rather to building their capabilities abroad.

He pointed out the necessity for the expatriates sector’s work strategy during the coming period to provide distinguished services to expatriates and encourage them to develop their capabilities and potential abroad, so that the Yemeni expatriate is an effective and productive element in the country of expatriation, and presents the ideal image of his country.

In addition, the door was opened for discussion to discuss the difficulties and obstacles that stand as a stumbling block to the work of the ministry’s offices in the governorates and direct them to address them according to the available capabilities.

The meeting came out with many recommendations aimed at enhancing the role of the ministry’s offices in the governorates in a way that serves the expatriates of the homeland abroad.
