The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jamal Amer, met on Wednesday with the Regional Director of War Child, Flutra Gorana, in the presence of the organization’s Country Director, Arif Jabbar Khan.
Amer urged the organization to diversify its sources of funding and resort to individuals and charitable organizations to ensure its independence away from political agendas, especially from donor countries such as America.
During the meeting, Gorana reviewed a report on the organization’s joining the coalition of federal War Child organizations active in 14 countries under unified management. She explained that the organization provides support to children during wars, including providing informal education to qualify them for formal schools, in addition to facilities such as food aid.
