Government: The Humiliating Escape Of US Marines From Sana’a Represents A Victory For The popular Will Over The Forces Of Arrogance

The Government of Change and Construction extended its sincere congratulations to the Yemeni people and the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badreddine al-Houthi, on the tenth anniversary of the humiliating departure of US Marines from Sana’a.

In a statement issued today, the government confirmed that this day represents a victory for the popular will over the forces of arrogance, achieved by the grace of Allah – Almighty – and a massive popular revolution that rejected American tutelage.  Its victory on September 21, 2014, marked a historic turning point in Yemen’s journey toward freedom.

The government praised the wisdom, insight, and courage of the revolution’s leader, who guided the people and the nation toward liberation and independence.

It renewed its commitment to continue working under his wise leadership to cement the values of pride, dignity, and freedom across the country.

While warning of American schemes aimed at undermining our people and exploiting the capabilities of our nation, the government strongly reiterated its rejection of plans to forcibly displace the Palestinian people from Gaza and other Palestinian territories.

It called on all the Arab governments to unite in confronting these agendas, supporting the Palestinian resistance, and rejecting foreign intervention

The government stressed that “any aggression against the Gaza Strip will be met with Palestinian steadfastness and resilience, as well as a Yemeni escalation on all possible fronts.
