The Islamic resistance Movement “Hamas” has expressed its “full commitment” to a ceasefire deal, emphasizing that negotiations are the only way to secure the release of the remaining Israeli captives.
“The road in front of the enemy’s false excuses has been blocked, and it now has no choice but to commence the second phase negotiations,” Hamas said in a statement issued on Thursday.
“We renew our full commitment to the ceasefire agreement with all its details and provisions and our readiness to enter into negotiations related to the second phase of the agreement,” Hamas said in a statement.
It also noted that the only way to free the Israeli captives still held in Gaza is through “negotiation and commitment” to the ceasefire agreement.
Israeli occupation authorities’ “failed” attempts to obstruct the prisoner exchange have left the regime with “no choice” but to begin talks for the second phase of the truce, it added.
The movement reaffirmed that the only way to secure the release of occupation prisoners in the Gaza Strip is through negotiations .
Hamas warned that “any attempts by Netanyahu and his government to backtrack on or obstruct the agreement will only lead to further suffering for the prisoners and their families.”
It called on mediators to continue pressuring the occupation to honor the agreed terms, urging the international community to stop applying “double standards” in discourse concerning occupation prisoners while ignoring Palestinian prisoners and the abuse they endure.
