The Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Ali Shiban, inaugurated the new dialysis center at the Republican Teaching Hospital Authority in the capital, Sana’a.
Minister Shiban received a briefing from the head of the authority, Dr. Mohammed Jahaf, and the officials in charge of the center about its facilities.
The center, which consists of a building equipped with medical devices and supplies, has a capacity of 27 beds and was self-funded by the authority
During the inauguration, the Minister praised the efforts of the hospital’s leadership in setting up the center, which will significantly enhance kidney dialysis services for patients in need.
He emphasized that such service projects meet part of the community’s needs amid the current circumstances the country is facing, stressing the importance of adhering to global protocols for dialysis patients, especially in infection control.
For his part, Dr. Mohammed Jahaf, head of the hospital, clarified that the center will contribute to improving services for patients, noting that it is part of the hospital’s social responsibility to alleviate the suffering of kidney failure patients.
