Hundreds of activists and human rights defenders demonstrated outside the Israeli embassy in the US capital, Washington, in protest against the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people.
The demonstration marks the first anniversary of the suicide of former US soldier Aaron Bushnell in front of the embassy, protesting the “genocide” in Gaza.
The activists chanted slogans during the protest, rejecting the escalating aggression on West Bank cities and refugee camps, as well as the plans to forcibly displace Palestinians from their homes and lands.
The protesters lit candles in remembrance of Aaron Bushnell and to honor his message, which aimed to declare global popular rejection of genocide and to support the Palestinian people’s right to freedom, independence, and self-determination.
