Ibb: Mudhaikherah District Explores Community Role In Local Development

The Executive Office in Mudhaikherah district in Ibb province, led by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Administration and Local and Rural Development Ammar al-Hareb, convened on Tuesday to discuss activating Mudhaikherah Multipurpose Agricultural Cooperative Association and enhancing community involvement in local development.

The meeting, attended by District Director Maysara al-Nahari, Bunyan Foundation representative Mansour Ghadir, and District Mobilization Officer Alaa al-Ma’adani, focused on promoting development work and strengthening the association’s role.

Undersecretary al-Hareb emphasized that integrated development work is crucial for social and economic transformation. He stressed the importance of collaboration between official and community sectors, activating development partners, and promoting voluntary community work.

Al-Hareb highlighted the need to establish a development association comprising district residents to leverage available opportunities, pursue contract farming, and implement economic empowerment projects. He also stressed the need to address development challenges.

District Director al-Nahari emphasized the importance of translating leadership directives into practical plans and programs and raising awareness about voluntary community work to advance the agricultural sector. He highlighted the district’s agricultural potential.

Separately, a meeting led by the “fugitive deputy,” involving Mudhaikherah district sheikhs and dignitaries, discussed activating the “Knights of Development” and engaging with Mudhaikherah Multipurpose Agricultural Cooperative Association.

The “fugitive deputy” emphasized the associations’ crucial role alongside the local authority in serving the community and advancing agricultural, service, and development projects.

District Director al-Nahari emphasized the need to enhance community awareness, mobilize community initiatives, and promote volunteer work to advance the agricultural sector and achieve self-sufficiency.
