Israeli Enemy Forces Continue To Violate Ceasefire Agreement In Lebanon

Israeli enemy forces have continued their violations of the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon, burning a number of homes in villages and towns in the south on Wednesday.

The Official Lebanese National News Agency reported that the occupation forces burned several homes in the town of Rab Thalatheen, in the Marjeyoun district of southern Lebanon.

The agency also noted that the occupation army carried out a large-scale explosion last night, targeting homes in the border town of Yaroun, in the Bint Jbeil district, and completely leveled homes in the border town of Aitaroun.

According to the agency, Wajih Zahwi, a seven-year-old boy from Majdal Selm, has died from injuries sustained in an Israeli drone attack at the end of January, our correspondent added.

The child suffered a head injury from shrapnel when an Israeli drone dropped a bomb near him on Jan. 29.

The occupation forces and their tanks continue to position themselves behind the earthen berm they established a week ago in the Mfeilha area, west of the town of Mays al-Jabal. Meanwhile, Lebanese army personnel are stationed tens of meters away on the western side.

The National News Agency clarified that “enemy soldiers remain stationed behind the earthen berms, laying barbed wire and placing a sign reading ‘Do Not Approach’ at the entrance to the towns of Yaroun and Maroun al-Ras.”

On Tuesday, the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates filed a complaint with the United Nations Security Council against “Israel” for its violation of Resolution 1701 and its complete disregard for its obligations related to enhanced security arrangements for the implementation of the resolution.

The 60-day deadline for the withdrawal of occupation forces that had advanced into southern Lebanon expired on January 26, in accordance with the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on November 27, 2024.
