The Palestinian Journalist Protection Center (PJPC) confirmed on Thursday that the Israeli occupation released four Palestinian journalists from the Gaza Strip as part of the seventh phase of the prisoner swap deal.
The released journalists are:”Khader Baker Khalil Abdel-Al, Hamza Akram Radwan, Mohammad Sultan, and Baha El-Din Al-Ghoul.”
The center noted that these journalists were arrested during the genocidal war on Gaza.
In September 2024, the Palestinian Prisoners Club revealed that the Israeli occupation had detained 98 Palestinian journalists from the occupied West Bank and Gaza since the beginning of its brutal aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023.
The Prisoners Club stated in a statement that the Israeli occupation has kept 52 journalists from those detained after October 7 in its prisons.
It was further clarified that at least 17 journalists from Gaza are still in Israeli prisons.
In this context, it is worth mentioning that the Israeli occupation has killed over 205 journalists in Gaza since the start of the genocidal war, according to the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip.
