Judicial Council Considers Several Grievances Of Members Of Judiciary

The Supreme Judicial Council held its weekly meeting today, headed by Judge Dr. Abdul-Momen Shujauddin, where it reviewed the Memorandum of the Head of the Judicial Inspection Authority on the names of Judges on duty during the Judicial leave for the month of Ramadan to consider Urgent matters by the Code of Civil Procedure.

The Council stressed the necessity of Judges assigned to adhere to the working hours and to abide by the provisions of Urgent Judiciary, warning against exposing the right to the essence or responding to malicious requests that may deviate the urgent judiciary from its objectives. It also directed the Judicial Inspection Authority to follow up and supervise to ensure that judges adhere to working hours and the provisions of the law.

The Council also discussed the grievances submitted by some judges and members of the Public Prosecution, and took appropriate decisions regarding them, and reviewed the memorandum of the Head of the Efficiency Reports Study Committee, and referred it to the General Secretariat and the Judicial Inspection Authority for study and making recommendations.

In addition, the Council reviewed the Draft Judicial Guardianship Regulation and decided to postpone consideration of it for further comments and proposals. It also discussed the topics included in its agenda and approved the minutes of its previous meeting.
