The head of the government media office in Gaza, Salama Marouf, said today, Monday, “Trump’s statements reflect a clear ignorance of the political nature of Gaza and the nature of the conflict with the occupation.”
Marouf added in press statements to Al-Arabiya TV: “Trump must end the occupation if he is concerned with the rights of the Palestinian people as he claims.”
He said: “A conference is required at the Arab level to discuss mechanisms to stop Trump’s plans.”
Marouf continued: “The upcoming Arab summit in Egypt must thwart the plans to displace the Palestinians.”
He also called on Arab countries to provide the requirements for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land.
Marouf said: “So far, only a quarter of the required number of shelter tents has arrived, explaining that dozens of wounded are at risk of losing their limbs due to the delay in their exit from the Strip.”
He added: “More than 14 thousand people are missing in the Gaza Strip, a large number of them are martyrs under the rubble of destroyed buildings.”
Marouf continued: “The bodies of more than 600 martyrs have been found since the aggression stopped.”
