The Ministry of Local and Rural Administration and Development commemorated the annual anniversary of the martyrdom of President Saleh al-Sammad today.

During the event, Scholar Muftah explained that this occasion provides an opportunity to remember the one with determination, willpower, and practical faith, the martyr President Saleh al-Sammad, in order to draw lessons from this great figure.

He confirmed that President Saleh al-Sammad was an example of an honest, sincere official who was committed to carrying out his duties and devoted to serving his people.

The First Deputy Prime Minister urged the directors of districts attending the ministry’s training course to take responsibility for the community, which expects them to be active leaders, role models, and to embody the meaning of the word “leader.”

He pointed out that the district director is the primary responsible person in their administrative unit, with a great responsibility that includes being present in the community and fulfilling their duties in both administrative and developmental aspects.

He said, “Some people only focus on financial difficulties, not realizing that these can be overcome through interaction and integration with the community, especially if the community sees this official as a role model, moving with sincerity and seriousness in serving the public good. This is what we hope all district directors will achieve.”

Scholar Muftah emphasized the importance of enhancing efforts in cleanliness, repairing, and maintaining roads across the various districts, in coordination with the community and official entities.

He pointed out that initiatives are of great importance, with each district having its own characteristics and priorities, which require the district director to work with the community to address them.

Scholar Muftah stressed the importance of focusing on cooperative associations and activating the “Development Knights” in the districts so that everyone plays their role in both the developmental and service aspects.

He also highlighted the critical supervisory and oversight role of the Ministry of Local and Rural Administration and Development in this regard.
