Security Department of the New Sana’a District organized an event to commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of President Saleh Ali Al-Sammad.
The event, which was attended by the director of the directorate, Abdullah Al-Marwani, and the director of security, Colonel Hamid Hatem, featured cultural activist Mohammed Al-Hassani. He emphasized that the anniversary of Martyr Al-Sammad serves as a moment to reflect on the crimes of aggression against the Yemeni people, and the ongoing attempts to prevent them from building a free and independent state, free from foreign tutelage, dependence, and hegemony.
Al-Hassani highlighted the qualities of Martyr Al-Sammad—his profound Quranic knowledge, wisdom, and courage in leading the country during its most difficult times. He spoke of Al-Sammad’s role in unifying the internal front to confront the aggression coalition and its mercenaries.
He also stressed the importance of commemorating this anniversary as a means to draw lessons from the sacrifices of Martyr Al-Sammad and his companions in the Quranic movement, who fought for the nation, supported the oppressed, and defended the homeland.
