The Presidency of the Yemeni Parliament in Sana’a on Monday condemned US President Donald Trump’s provocative calls for the displacement of the Palestinian people, particularly from Gaza to Jordan and Egypt.

During its meeting chaired by Parliament  Speaker Yahya al-Ra’i, the Parliament strongly rejected Trump’s statements, emphasizing that the Zionist occupation of Palestine is temporary, while Arab Palestine holds a deep historical and cultural legacy.

The Parliament praised the rejection of Trump’s remarks by the peoples of Egypt and Jordan and called on all neighboring countries to follow their example.

It also urged global parliaments, nations, and free individuals to denounce Trump’s statements, which it deemed racist and in violation of international law.

The Parliament stressed the need for accountability through the International Criminal Court, calling for action against Trump for inciting further violence against Palestinians.

The Presidency of the Parliament emphasized that the U.S. administration should learn from its failures in Afghanistan and Iraq, warning that the world will not tolerate Trump’s destabilizing actions.

It reaffirmed its commitment to protecting its sovereignty and regional security, underscoring the importance of standing united in support of Palestine’s rights and resisting foreign interference.

The Parliament offered condolences to the families of martyrs, including Mohammed al-Daif, leader of the al-Qassam Brigades, and President Saleh al-Sammad, honoring their sacrifices in the ongoing Palestinian resistance.

It also voiced its support for the Palestinian people, urging unity and resilience in the struggle against Zionist aggression.

The Presidency of the Parliament  concluded by paying tribute to the people of Yemen, especially in the occupied provinces, including Mahrah, for their steadfast resistance against foreign control and occupation.
