Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized on Wednesday that his country is strong and that its reserves and resources are “exceptional in the world.”
Iranian news agencies quoted Pezeshkian during a government meeting, in response to Trump’s remarks, who announced the start of a policy of maximum pressure towards Tehran, saying: “The Americans think that everything we do depends on oil, and they want to stop our oil exports, while there are many ways to neutralize their goals.”
On the other hand, Pezeshkian stressed the need to reach a common language, vision and policy among OPEC members during his meeting with OPEC Secretary General Haitham Al-Ghayed. “Members must act in a way that does not harm another member,” he said.
The Iranian president emphasized that if OPEC members act in a unified manner, “the United States will not be able to impose sanctions or pressure on one of the members.”
