Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi reaffirmed that Yemen’s government prioritizes steadfastness and resilience against external aggression. He emphasized that the government is preparing on all fronts, focusing on comprehensive planning, training, and strategic readiness.
In an exclusive interview with Al-Masirah on Sunday evening, Al-Rahwi criticized US policies as deceptive, stating that Yemen is bracing for continued foreign interference. He stressed that the government’s approach is not based on regional or provincial interests but on a unified national vision for all governorates.
Addressing the situation in occupied territories, he linked soaring prices, currency collapse, deteriorating services, and insecurity directly to foreign occupation. He accused the Saudi-backed government of operating from hotels under UAE and Saudi directives, undermining the Yemeni people’s well-being.
Al-Rahwi further accused the occupiers of inciting strife, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s role in fostering corruption in the southern governorates and using them as a base for attacks on the north. He also warned of Israel’s long-term ambitions to control Socotra Island as a strategic hub.
He pointed to US pressure on Saudi Arabia, warning that Yemen will remain a challenge to their security. He dismissed US attempts to label Yemen as a terrorist state, asserting that Washington aims to subjugate the country.
On domestic matters, Al-Rahwi outlined initiatives to improve citizens’ lives, including restoring key industries, combating corruption through electronic customs and tax reforms, and addressing salary discrepancies. He criticized Saudi Arabia for failing to fulfill its commitment to pay employees’ salaries.
Al-Rahwi concluded by reassuring investors that capital owners will receive incentives and privileges if they choose to invest in Yemen, as part of the government’s broader economic strategy to stimulate growth and development in the country.
