Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi, accompanied by the Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment, Engineer Moeen Al-Mahqari, inaugurated the fifth Ramadan Consumer Exhibition in Sana’a today.
The exhibition, which will run until the 30th of Sha’ban, 1446 AH, features the participation of 63 national companies.
It includes various sections showcasing food products, consumer goods, detergents, honey, dates, electronics, and other essentials and needs for the holy month.
During the opening ceremony, the Prime Minister praised the efforts made to organize the exhibition.
He highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting and encouraging national industries and local products, as well as localizing several vital industrial sectors to reduce import costs and create job opportunities for youth.
He emphasized that supporting local products is a collective responsibility, reiterating the government’s encouragement of all private sector activities in production, industry, and investment.
He also stressed the government’s dedication to fostering stability and sustainable growth for these activities.
For his part, the Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment emphasized the importance of organizing such exhibitions to promote national industries and products, as well as to market them effectively.
He noted that the ministry is working within its programs and plans to support the industrial and commercial sectors and encourage investments that contribute effectively to development efforts.
He described these exhibitions as an opportunity for citizens to learn about local products and the quality of national industries.
The exhibitions also provide a platform for factory owners, manufacturers, and producers to showcase their products and boost consumer confidence in the quality of Yemeni local products.
He stressed the need for concerted efforts and enhanced partnerships between the public and private sectors to build the national economy, create an attractive investment environment, and support the production base in agricultural and industrial sectors.
