Sana’a University has advanced 23 ranks in the “Webometrics” global ranking of universities issued by the Higher Council for Scientific Research in Spain for the year 2025.
The results of the classification showed the progress of Sana’a University from 3,562nd to 3,539th place globally, out of more than 32,000 universities worldwide. The university also maintained its leadership in first place locally, ahead of both public and private universities
On this occasion, the President of the University, Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas, congratulated all members of the university for their scientific and research achievements that contributed to the university’s progress in the global rankings.
He emphasized that Sana’a University has the qualified staff to achieve further success in global rankings and highlighted the university’s commitment to continuing efforts to improve its position.
Dr. Abbas pointed out that this progress is a result of the changes and developments the university has undergone in recent years, as well as its focus on best educational, academic, and media practices, alongside the support and encouragement of scientific research.
It is noteworthy that Sana’a University has risen by 1,874 ranks over the past seven years, from 5,413th place in 2018
