Local sources revealed that military reinforcements belonging to the Saudi-backed “Homeland Shield” militias are heading towards Al-Mahrah Governorate in eastern Yemen.
The sources explained that the military reinforcements include dozens of military vehicles and crews that were recently transferred from the southern border camps to be sent to Al-Mahrah Governorate.
These movements come within the framework of Saudi efforts to strengthen its military presence in Al-Mahrah by supporting and deploying extremist sectarian militias within a malicious agenda to spread terrorism and stir up tension to destabilize security and stability in the governorate.
The people of Al-Mahrah Governorate reject the Saudi movements and the militias loyal to it, considering these movements to strengthen the influence of the Saudi occupation in Al-Mahrah.
