The Chairman of the Supreme Authority for Tender Control (GOCR), Eng. Abdulmalik Al-Arashi, met today in Sana’a with the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Mohammed Al-Mahdi, to discuss the development plans of the telecommunications sector and its purchasing needs.
Al-Arashi praised the continuous cooperation between the TRA and the Ministry, praising the development of telecommunications services despite the challenges. He stressed that the Authority is an advisory body for government procurement and will continue to provide technical support. He also referred to the new draft tender law, which will simplify procedures and expand the powers of tender committees.
For his part, the ICT Minister praised the TRA role in correcting procedures through censorship, stressing its importance in reducing imbalances and achieving the public interest.
