Two Civilians Killed, Four Injured By Zionist Drone Strike In Southern Lebanon

At least two people were martyred and four women were injured on Saturday evening when a Zionist airstrike targeted a civilian car in Jarjouaa town, south of Lebanon.

According to Lebanon’s National News Agency, an Israeli enemy warplane bombed a civilian car on the Jarjouaa road in the Iqlim al-Tuffah district, killing two men and injuring four sisters.

Earlier, an Israeli drone attack was reported in al-Aqaba neighborhood on the outskirts of Aynata town in Bint Jbeil, with no reported casualties.

Under the terms of the agreement that brought about a ceasefire between the Israeli occupation and the Lebanese group Hezbollah last November, the former was to withdraw its forces from southern Lebanon by January 26.

That deadline for its withdrawal already ended, but Israel has refused to pull back its forces and continued to sporadically bomb areas in Lebanon and kill citizens, claiming that it targets Hezbollah fighters.

The Israeli occupation presence in southern Lebanon means that thousands of people still cannot return to their homes in border villages, with Israeli troops shooting at people who get too close.
