UN: Humanitarian Conditions In Gaza Deteriorating Unprecedentedly

The United Nations confirmed today, Monday, that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is deteriorating at an unprecedented rate, with widespread destruction.

The spokesperson for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Gaza stated that more than 500,000 people have returned to northern Gaza despite the absence of basic services. Additionally, 2.5 million people are in urgent need of immediate humanitarian assistance.

The spokesperson emphasized that efforts are ongoing to support the residents of the Strip in facing the harsh winter season.

She stressed that the highest priority at the moment is the continuation of the ceasefire and ensuring the flow of aid to the affected areas.

Between October 7, 2023, and January 19, 2025, Israeli enemy committed genocide in Gaza, resulting in more than 159,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of whom are children and women, as well as over 14,000 missing persons. This constitutes one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
