The Presidency of the Yemeni Parliament strongly condemned the Arab and Islamic silence regarding Israel’s recent military escalations in the West Bank, particularly in Jenin and Tulkarm.

During a Tuesday session chaired by Speaker Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i, the Parliament warned that these attacks are part of a broader Israeli plan to redraw the map of Palestinian refugee camps through forced displacement and systematic demolitions.

The Parliament accused the Netanyahu government of attempting to impose demographic changes in the West Bank similar to those carried out in Gaza.

The Presidency stressed that these actions constitute blatant violations of international law, yet the international community remains silent, while the United States continues to provide military and political support to Israel.

Domestically, the Parliament discussed the worsening economic and humanitarian situation in Saudi-UAE occupied Yemeni territories.

It criticized the ongoing corruption and plundering of Yemen’s resources, warning against the continued misappropriation of sovereign wealth for personal gains rather than addressing the urgent needs of the Yemeni people.

The Parliament’s leadership accused the Saudi-led coalition of aggression and its mercenaries of being fully responsible for the economic blockade, systematic looting of Yemen’s wealth, and the deepening humanitarian crisis. It demanded that revenue from Yemen’s natural resources be allocated toward public services and the payment of civil servants’ salaries.

Additionally, the Parliament reaffirmed Yemen’s right to defend its people and protect its territorial waters.

During the session, the previous meeting’s minutes were reviewed, and discussions were held on the Parliament’s agenda for the upcoming period.

The meeting also addressed administrative matters within the Parliament’s General Secretariat, focusing on efforts to enhance its operations.
