Yemen’s Facility Guarding & VIP Protection Forces Showcase Readiness With Live Ammunition Tactical Exercises

In a significant display of modernization and readiness, the General Administration for Facility Guarding and VIP Protection launched updated official military uniforms during a graduation ceremony for new batches of personnel. The event, held in the presence of the Minister of Defense, also featured a military parade and marked the first time in Yemen’s history that live ammunition tactical exercises were conducted by these forces.

For the first time, Yemen’s Facility Guarding and VIP Protection forces carried out tactical military exercises using live ammunition. This milestone underscores the growing capabilities and preparedness of Yemen’s security institutions.

Major General Jalal Al-Rowaishan, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs, highlighted the importance of these exercises, stating, “Our military and security readiness confirms our continued mobilization and general preparedness.”

Major General Al-Rowaishan used the occasion to reaffirm Yemen’s unwavering support for Palestine and Lebanon. “We pledge to the leader and our Yemeni people that the defense and security institutions will remain steadfast,” he said. “We reaffirm our unwavering support for Palestine and Lebanon, standing firm against any threats to their sovereignty.”

The graduation ceremony showcased the new official military uniforms, symbolizing the ongoing modernization efforts within Yemen’s security forces. A military parade followed, demonstrating the discipline and readiness of the troops. The event was attended by high-ranking officials who praised the forces for their dedication and progress.

Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Banous, Director of the General Administration for Facility Guarding and VIP Protection, emphasized the forces’ readiness to undertake various security and military tasks.

“We confirm the readiness of our forces to carry out their duties and confront any enemy conspiracies,” he said. Al-Banous also highlighted the administration’s efforts to enhance the spiritual and physical preparedness of its personnel as part of a broader plan to develop and modernize Yemen’s security institutions.
