Hamas spokesman Abdul Latif al-Qanou confirmed on Wednesday that the occupation’s closure of Salah al-Din Road is a complete reversal of the agreement, a deepening of Gaza’s siege, and an escalation of its suffocation.
“Gaza is facing genocide, siege, and starvation, with no regard for the sanctity of the holy month of Ramadan or adherence to international laws and humanitarian conventions,” Abdul Latif al-Qanou said in a press statement.
He confirmed that the Zionist occupation, with American support and international silence, is destroying life in Gaza and reneging on the signed agreement.
“Any proposal based on entering negotiations for the second phase and achieving a permanent ceasefire is welcome and open for discussion,” he stressed
He added, ” We are keen to stop the bloodshed and open to any efforts that lead to a permanent end to the war and the withdrawal from Gaza.”
The continuation of war only serves Netanyahu’s political future and threatens the lives of captives in Gaza, he underlined.
