At Least 75% Of Foreseen US Shipping Forced To Reroute Away From Red Sea As Yemeni Blockade Continues

An American official acknowledged on Monday the impact of operations carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces in the Red Sea against Israeli, American shipping, leading to a halt in three-quarters of US shipping traffic through the Red Sea.

US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz stated that 75% of American shipping, which would normally pass through the Red Sea, is currently forced to avoid the area and reroute via Africa’s southern coast due to strikes by Yemeni Armed Forces.

Waltz explained in an interview with CBS News that 75% of US-flagged maritime shipments are now forced to travel around Africa’s southern coast instead of using the Suez Canal.

The Yemeni Armed Forces started their military operations against the Israeli regime in late 2023 shortly after Tel Aviv launched its genocidal war against the Palestinians trapped in Gaza.

The Yemenis stopped targeting ships in the Red Sea in January after a ceasefire was announced between Israel and Hamas, but the operations resumed last week after Israel cut off the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza earlier this month and broke the ceasefire deal brokered by Trump.

More than 50,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since Tel Aviv launched its genocidal war in Gaza.

In support of the Israeli genocide in Gaza, the American enemy launched an aggression with dozens airstrikes on the capital, Sana’a, Saada, Dhamar, Hajjah, and Al-Bayda

The aggression came a few days after the Yemeni Armed Forces resumed their maritime operation against Israeli-linked ships in the southern Red Sea, the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea over the Tel Aviv regime’s blockade on Gaza.
