“Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful, meets Iran’s industrial needs and is subject to comprehensive international monitoring.
The State Department spokesman added: “Iran is a pioneer in its efforts to make a nuclear-weapon-free zone and Israel is the main obstacle to this goal.
