In observance of Ramadan, the Public Prosecution in Dhamar province has released 334 prisoners, acting on directives from the Leader of the Revolution and the President of the Supreme Political Council.
Judge Anan head of the Appeal Prosecution of Dhamar province Shaye’ al-Sultan informed Saba News Agency that the releases were carried out in accordance with the Attorney General’s instructions.
The process focused on granting bail to eligible individuals in non-serious cases that do not pose a threat to society.
The releases included those meeting the criteria for conditional release from negative sentences, provided they had demonstrated good conduct and behavior while incarcerated and had no outstanding obligations to others.
These releases occurred during field visits conducted by the Chief Prosecutor and Public Prosecutors, which began in mid-Sha’ban, to the Central Correctional Facility, Public Prosecution Detention Centers, Police Departments, and Criminal Investigation Departments. Additionally, releases were made during a visit by the Judicial Inspection Committee, led by Judge Ibrahim Aqabat and Advisor to the Minister of Justice Adnan al-Salehi.
Judge al-Sultan emphasized the Public Prosecution’s ongoing commitment to serving society by upholding rights and freedoms and ensuring the swift delivery of justice.
