Gaza Health: Continued Closure Of Crossings Threatens Patients’ Lives In The Strip

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip confirmed today, Sunday, March 9, 2025, that the continued closure of the crossings threatens the lives of patients in the Gaza Strip.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Khalil Al-Daqran, stated that the closure of the crossings has stopped the supply of medicines and medical supplies necessary for the health system; and constitutes a death sentence for patients and the injured in the Strip.

Al-Daqran explained that the enemy did not adhere to the humanitarian protocol for the entry of medical supplies in a sufficient manner, as only 10% of the medical needs were allowed to enter, which further exacerbates the crisis.

Al-Daqran pointed out that the enemy allows the entry of limited and insufficient aid to restart the health system, stressing the existence of a severe shortage of medicines, respirators, generators, and oxygen.

Regarding the patients, Al-Daqran confirmed that more than 25,000 patients and injured are in dire need of treatment outside the Strip.

The Zionist enemy continues to close the crossings for the ninth consecutive day, while refusing to implement the terms of the agreement and the humanitarian protocol.
