GMO: Blocking Entry Of Aid Into Gaza Means Starving Its People

The Gaza Government Media Office (GMO)has strongly condemned Israel’s decision to halt the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, describing it as a continuation of its genocidal war and a deliberate attempt to starve the population.

GMO issued a statement on Sunday, accusing the Israeli enemy of renouncing its obligations under the ceasefire agreement and using aid as a tool of blackmail against Gaza’s residents.

It stated that Israel’s announcement to stop allowing aid into Gaza is further proof of its refusal to adhere to the terms of the agreement. “This decision confirms Israel’s ongoing renunciation of its commitments and its use of starvation as a weapon of war,” the statement read.

GMO emphasized that preventing the entry of aid is a continuation of Israel’s genocidal policies, calling it “a form of blackmail against an entire population, holding their basic sustenance hostage.” It warned that Gaza’s residents, who rely entirely on humanitarian assistance for their food supply, are now facing a deliberate “war of starvation.”

The Gaza Government Media Office reiterated that it had warned from the very beginning about the dangers of remaining silent on Israel’s violations of the ceasefire agreement. “The Israeli enemy’s daily breaches of the agreement have gone unchecked, and the lack of international pressure has emboldened its actions,” the statement said.

It called on mediators, who are guarantors of the agreement, to pressure the Israeli enemy to fulfill its obligations under all phases of the deal. It also demanded the implementation of the humanitarian protocol, which includes allowing the entry of shelter supplies, relief materials, and rescue equipment and machinery.

In its statement, GMO urged the Arab and Islamic world to adopt a unified stance against Israel’s actions. It also called for a strict international position to pressure Israel and its supporters to halt their crimes. “The international community must not remain silent in the face of these violations. A strong and unified response is needed to hold Israel accountable,” the statement emphasized.
