The Islamic Republic of Iran’s mission to the United Nations in New York announced on Sunday Tehran’s rejection of holding negotiations to completely end its nuclear program.
The mission said, according to the Iranian News Agency (IRNA), that “if the goal of the negotiations is to remove concerns about the possibility of militarizing the Iranian nuclear program, then that is debatable, but if the goal is to eliminate the peaceful Iranian nuclear program, then such negotiations will not be held at all.”
This comes while US President Donald Trump announced during a press statement on Friday that he sent a letter to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
The Axios news website claimed that Trump proposed in his letter to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution to conclude a nuclear agreement with Iran.
